Hiring process
Jungle Audio makes hiring easy with a quick three-step process. Browse our wicked inventory of speakers, microphones, mixers, amplifiers, DJ equipment, and more. Read the detailed descriptions and pick what you need.
Hit us up via email or phone if you’re unsure of anything. Provide the equipment details, event dates, and any specific requirements. We’ll review your request, confirm availability, and source anything missing to make sure you have the sickest event.
You (obviously) have two options: pickup or delivery. Save some dollarydoos by collecting it yourself, or let us handle delivery, setup, and pack-down. We’ll need some dollars from you—because we don’t do this for the giggles—after the booking is confirmed.

28kg Concrete Block
$7.50 per night
Product Description
Let’s be honest, there’s not a whole lot to explain here. It’s a 10kg shot bag. You put it on things that you don’t want falling over.
They’re perfect for adding a bit of extra stability to speaker stands at outdoor events when the wind decides to make an appearance. We also use them on truss base plates for indoor events, where you just want a little more peace of mind without dragging around massive concrete blocks.
They’re also handy for lighting stands, pipe and drape, marquees, signage, exhibition displays… or pretty much anything else that would appreciate an extra 10kg sitting on the bottom.
Sure, it’s not the most exciting bit of gear you’ll ever hire. But when it stops a speaker from becoming airborne, you’ll be pretty glad you grabbed one.
Included:
- 1x 10kg Shot Bag

Do I need these?
If you’re outdoors with speaker stands, we’d say yes. Wind has a funny way of showing up halfway through an event and pretending it owns the place.
-
Can I use them on truss?
Absolutely. They’re great for adding a bit of extra weight to truss base plates for indoor setups or lighter-duty applications.
-
Are they a replacement for proper ballast?
Not always. For larger truss structures, LED walls or anything with significant wind loading, you’ll still want proper steel base plates or heavier ballast. Think of these as an extra layer of stability rather than a magic fix for everything.
-
Can I put them on anything else?
Pretty much. If it has a base and you’d rather it stayed upright, a shot bag probably isn’t a bad idea.
