Hiring process

Jungle Audio makes hiring easy with a quick three-step process. Browse our wicked inventory of speakers, microphones, mixers, amplifiers, DJ equipment, and more. Read the detailed descriptions and pick what you need.

Hit us up via email or phone if you’re unsure of anything. Provide the equipment details, event dates, and any specific requirements. We’ll review your request, confirm availability, and source anything missing to make sure you have the sickest event.

You (obviously) have two options: pickup or delivery. Save some dollarydoos by collecting it yourself, or let us handle delivery, setup, and pack-down. We’ll need some dollars from you—because we don’t do this for the giggles—after the booking is confirmed.

Ten kilos of steel shot in a bag. Kinda cool? Not crazy exciting, or heaps to explain if you are the Jungle Audio copywriter, but let’s do our best to hire these babies out! Here we go…

When the wind starts trying to launch your speakers into the crowd, these bags will keep everything where it should be.

  • 10kg of steel shot for adding extra weight where needed

Product Description

Is this the sexiest bit of gear in the Jungle Audio warehouse? No, but if you have something you don’t want moving, this makes said thing considerably less interested in going anywhere.

They’re mostly for speaker stands and lighting stands outdoors, where even a relatively innocent-looking breeze can suddenly become very enthusiastic. Chuck one over the base of a stand and you’ve got extra weight keeping everything where it should be. Easy as that.

They’re also useful for truss base plates, signage, exhibition displays, pipe and drape, marquees and other temporary structures where you want some additional stability without dragging around massive concrete weights.

They’re also small enough to transport easily, quick to position and SUPER boring. But hey, you’ll love them when something starts wobbling.

Just remember: these are additional ballast, not a substitute for properly engineered ballast on large structures.

Included:

  • 1x 10kg Shot Bag
"Jungle Audio is the full package! Alec is prompt, professional, accomodating, and incredibly nice.

The Funktion-One system sounds clean and massive, and the lighting rig was out-of-this-world."

Hire Questions

Navigate the jungle of questions: FAQs made simple and clear.

FAQs
  • How many shot bags do I need?

Depends what you’re trying to keep upright! For a small speaker stand, one may be enough. For larger setups or particularly windy outdoor events, you may want more. Tell us what you’re hiring and where you’re putting it, and we’ll give you a hand working it out.

  • Can I use these instead of concrete weights?

Sometimes, but they’re not a universal replacement. They’re great when you need a bit of extra weight without lugging around a concrete block.

  • Are they easy to carry?

Ten kilos is ten kilos; how much time do you spend lifting, bro? Seriously, these have handles and are considerably easier to manoeuvre than a giant lump of concrete.
