Booking & Payment Summary

Dry Hire Equipment

  • Full payment is required to reserve equipment.
  • Equipment is not allocated or guaranteed until payment has been received.

Event Production Services

  • A 50% deposit is required to confirm the booking.
  • The remaining balance is due within 7 days of the event.
  • Additional equipment, labour, or scope changes may be invoiced separately.

Important

  • All equipment remains the property of Jungle Audio.
  • The client is responsible for all equipment from the time it leaves Jungle Audio’s possession until it is returned and accepted back by Jungle Audio.
  • By accepting a quote, paying an invoice, paying a deposit, or taking possession of equipment, the client agrees to these Terms & Conditions.

1. BOOKING & PAYMENT

1.1 Quotes are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.

1.2 For dry hire bookings, equipment is not reserved, allocatedor,  guaranteed until full payment has been received. Once full payment has been made, Jungle Audio will reserve the equipment for the agreed hire period.

1.3 For event production, delivery, installation, or operation, a 50% deposit is required to confirm the booking. Equipment, crew, and services are not reserved until the deposit has been received.

1.4 The remaining balance for event production services is due within 7 days following the event unless otherwise agreed in writing.

1.5 Any additional costs incurred during the hire period or event, including but not limited to additional equipment, crew, transport, labour, overtime, waiting time, venue access delays, damage, cleaning, or changes to the agreed scope of works, may be invoiced separately and are payable within 7 days of invoice.

1.6 Jungle Audio reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or withhold equipment and services where payment has not been received by the agreed due date.

2. CANCELLATIONS

2.1 For dry hire bookings (if a booking is cancelled by the client), the following cancellation charges apply:

  • More than 30 days prior to the commencement of the hire period: 50% of the total quoted booking value.
  • Between 14 and 30 days prior to the commencement of the hire period: 75% of the total quoted booking value.
  • Less than 14 days prior to the commencement of the hire period: 100% of the total quoted booking value.

2.2 For event production bookings, deposits are non-refundable.

2.3 If an event production booking is cancelled by the client, the following cancellation charges apply:

  • More than 30 days prior to the event date: 50% of the total quoted booking value.
  • Between 14 and 30 days prior to the event date: 75% of the total quoted booking value.
  • Less than 14 days prior to the event date: 100% of the total quoted booking value.

2.4 Any deposit already paid will be credited towards the applicable cancellation charge.

2.5 Where cancellation charges exceed the amount of any deposit paid, the client agrees to pay the outstanding balance within 7 days of invoice.

3. HIRE PERIOD

3.1 The standard hire period is 24 hours unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3.2 Equipment must be returned by the agreed return time.

3.3 Late returns may incur additional hire charges at Jungle Audio’s standard daily hire rates.

4. RESPONSIBILITY FOR EQUIPMENT

4.1 The hirer is fully responsible for all equipment from the time it leaves Jungle Audio’s premises until it is returned and accepted back by Jungle Audio.

4.2 The hirer agrees to return all equipment in the same condition in which it was supplied, excluding reasonable wear and tear.

4.3 The hirer is responsible for any loss, theft, damage, misuse, destruction, or unexplained disappearance of equipment during the hire period.

4.4 Any damaged, lost, or stolen equipment will be charged at the full repair, replacement, or current market value, whichever is greater.

4.5 Equipment must not be sold, offered for sale, sub-hired, loaned, transferred to another party, pledged as security, or otherwise disposed of without the prior written consent of Jungle Audio.

4.6 The hirer authorises Jungle Audio to recover reasonable costs incurred in locating, recovering, collecting, or repossessing overdue, unlawfully retained, lost, or stolen equipment.

5. USE OF EQUIPMENT

5.1 Equipment must only be operated in a safe and reasonable manner.

5.2 The hirer must take all reasonable steps to protect equipment from weather, rain, moisture, excessive heat/direct sunlight, dust, power surges, and other hazards.

5.3 Equipment must not be left unattended in public areas, unsecured vehicles, or in the possession of unauthorised third parties.

5.4 No drinks, liquids, food, smoke fluid, pyrotechnics, or other substances likely to cause damage may be placed near the equipment.

5.5 The hirer must immediately cease use of any equipment that appears faulty and notify Jungle Audio as soon as practical.

6. EQUIPMENT CONDITION & COMPATIBILITY

6.1 Jungle Audio warrants that all equipment is tested and in working order prior to hire.

6.2 The hirer acknowledges they have inspected the equipment at pickup and confirmed it is present and in acceptable condition.

6.3 Jungle Audio is not responsible for incompatibility between hired equipment and any equipment, software, power supplies, cabling, or systems not supplied by Jungle Audio.

7. CLEANING & ADDITIONAL CHARGES

7.1 Equipment must be returned in a reasonably clean condition.

7.2 Equipment returned excessively dirty, muddy, wet, sandy, or requiring abnormal cleaning may incur cleaning charges at a rate of $80 per hour plus any associated costs.

7.3 The hirer is responsible for any additional labour, freight, recovery, transport, or repair costs arising from the condition or location of returned equipment.

8. LIABILITY

8.1 Jungle Audio shall not be liable for any loss of income, event interruption, consequential loss, property damage, personal injury, or other costs arising from the use or inability to use hired equipment.

8.2 The hirer accepts all risks associated with the operation and use of the equipment during the hire period.

8.3 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jungle Audio’s liability is limited to the value of the hire charges paid by the hirer.

9. IDENTIFICATION & SECURITY

9.1 Jungle Audio may require and retain copies or photographs of government-issued photo identification for verification purposes.

9.2 Jungle Audio may retain security camera footage from pickup and return locations for identification, verification, loss prevention, and safety purposes.

10. FORCE MAJEURE

10.1 Jungle Audio shall not be liable for any delay, interruption, failure to perform, or cancellation resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

10.2 Such circumstances may include, but are not limited to, severe weather, fire, flood, natural disasters, power outages, venue closures, government directions, public health orders, industrial disputes, accidents, transport disruptions, supplier failures, or any other event beyond Jungle Audio’s reasonable control.

10.3 Where a Force Majeure event occurs, Jungle Audio may reschedule services, substitute equipment of equivalent performance where reasonably available, or cancel affected services without liability.

10.4 Any payments made prior to a Force Majeure event may be applied toward a rescheduled booking where reasonably practicable.

11. GENERAL

11.1 Ownership of all equipment remains with Jungle Audio at all times.

11.2 Jungle Audio reserves the right to refuse hire at its discretion.

11.3 By accepting a quote, paying an invoice, paying a deposit, or taking possession of equipment, the client or hirer acknowledges and agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
